justinwp - In my experience, a deer will run less than a hundred yards after a shot to the lungs or heart.

DougD - Since i have been hunting i have had a deer that was double lunged and took one step before falling over when shot with a bow. Also i have had others that have been shot in the lungs and run 150 to 175 yards so i guess it just depends on the deer.

Michael H - If a deer is hit high in the lung {very top of rib cage about three inches behind shoulder} would it be possible for him to run over a mile? I tracked one that far with very little blood {arrow did not pass through} gave up but wondering if i should go back or maybe i am wrong and really only hit soulder.

richard murphy - I just shot a beautiful 6x6 a few weeks ago he walked strait to me and would not turn four a good lung shot bin hunting four years and I was confident a neck shot was possible so I let one rip with my bow he was bout 30 yards I hit him strait in the trought an he dropped on the spot and didn\'t even move so yes it is possible don\'t over think a opportunity you may regret any thing is possible
